The Southeast Louisiana Adaptation Forum is a structured collaborative comprised of Individual and Organizational Members from community organizations, government agencies, workforce development organizations, businesses and business associations, philanthropy, and academic and research institutions from across the Greater New Orleans region. Membership in the Forum is free-of-charge and open to all aligned organizations and individuals. The Forum is led by a diverse Organizing Committee, with rotating membership, and administered by the Greater New Orleans Foundation and Tulane ByWater Institute.
Future growth opportunities include the establishment of Committees, groups of Members who meet consistently and in perpetuity to explore specific subject matter areas, and/or Working Groups, ad hoc groups of Members that come together to complete a time-bound project. The Organizing Committee expects the Forum structure to evolve over time to best meet Member needs.
Membership structure
Official programming for the Forum will begin in 2026 with two half-day convenings and two social gatherings or field trips spread across the year. Agendas and itineraries will be co-developed by Members. Future growth opportunities for programming include special lectures, a regular newsletter, specific trainings/workshops, resource / data directory, etc. Over time, and dependent on funding, the Forum may collectively develop, via Working Groups, useful resources for Members and others to use, such as evaluation protocols, collective impacts maps, policy manuals, best practice guides, and more.
